Here you will find explanations to what what the articles of confederation did, what it didnt do.and what sucesses it had from this.
It set up a government thats had a congress and no executive branch or judicial. The congress contained of two - seven delegates per state.Which also needed on vote per state, and nine votes to pass law & thirteen votes to amend the articles. It managed foreighn affairs, maintained and created an army.Printed and borrowed money, postal service, can declare war and can make peace.
The congress hadlittle power some examples would be, it could not tax, couldnt enforce laws, couldnt enforce military Quota, and it neede too many votes to pass laws. It had no executive branch and no judicial, it could not regulate commerce, and couldnt kick Brittish out of the United States.
The sucesses were that law established a procedure for surveying and selling the western lands.Ordiance congress passed the northwest territory. Northwest guaranteed rights and there was no slavery."Freedom of religion', Trial by jury', 'propert'. It created town ships, and its terrotories became states.
Yes i think that the articles of confederation sucessefully implimented the ideals to the Decalration of Independence.I think this because it made it clear of our freedom. It stated clearly all the freedom we had and all the rights we had.The powers it had were very helpful and successful to our government set up.The little power it had didnt really hurt the government that much as to all the power it had.
